1SHOTPAY TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: December 17, 2025
These 1ShotPay Terms of Service (the "Pay Terms") govern your access to and use of 1ShotPay, including paylinks, QR codes, payment request pages, Gift Cards, and related payment initiation pages and APIs (together, "1ShotPay").
1ShotPay is operated by 1Shot API, Inc. ("1ShotAPI", "we", "us", or "our").
These Pay Terms supplement the 1ShotAPI Terms of Service ("Main Terms"). If there is any conflict between these Pay Terms and the Main Terms with respect to 1ShotPay, these Pay Terms control. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Main Terms.
By creating, sharing, opening, using, purchasing, sending, receiving, funding, or redeeming a Paylink, payment request, Gift Card, or 1ShotPay page, you agree to these Pay Terms and the Main Terms.
1. Roles and Definitions
For 1ShotPay:
- Payee means the person or entity that creates a Paylink, payment request, or Gift Card, and/or that is identified as the recipient of a payment.
- Payer means the person or entity that uses a wallet to send a payment in response to a Paylink, payment request, or Gift Card.
- Paylink means a URL, QR code, or other identifier generated through 1ShotPay that encodes payment details such as amount, asset, network/chain, destination, and optional metadata.
- Payment Request means a request for payment created by a Payee using 1ShotPay, which may be represented by a Paylink, QR code, or similar identifier and may specify an amount, asset, destination, and other parameters.
- Gift Card means a feature in 1ShotPay that allows a user to send a payment to another person or entity using a Paylink or similar identifier, which may be presented in a "gift card" format for convenience (for example: gifting USDC to another wallet address). A Gift Card is a method of initiating an onchain payment and is not a stored-value account maintained by 1ShotAPI.
- Wallet means a blockchain wallet address and any associated signing mechanism used to initiate onchain transactions, including smart accounts or other wallet architectures supported by 1ShotPay.
- Passkey means a modern, passwordless credential (typically based on WebAuthn/FIDO standards) that uses device-based security (such as Face ID, fingerprint, or a device PIN) to authenticate you and authorize actions, and that generally relies on cryptographic keys where the private key is designed not to leave your device.
- Passkey Provider means the operating system, device, browser, or cloud keychain service that creates, stores, and syncs your Passkeys (for example, iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager).
- Digital Asset means a digital token or asset that may be transferred on a blockchain, including stablecoins such as USDC and other supported tokens.
- USDC means the USD Coin stablecoin token on supported blockchains. 1ShotAPI does not issue USDC and does not control its smart contracts or issuance.
A single person or entity may act as both Payee and Payer in different transactions. As between you and 1ShotAPI, you are responsible for clearly identifying your role in each case.
2. What 1ShotPay Does
1ShotPay is a technical payment initiation tool built on top of 1ShotAPI's relayer infrastructure. It allows users to:
- create Payment Requests (including Paylinks) for a specified amount, asset, network/chain, and destination; and
- share those Payment Requests with others (including as Gift Cards).
When a Payer opens a Paylink, Gift Card, or 1ShotPay page:
- 1ShotPay reads the payment details encoded in the Paylink or related identifier;
- presents those details to the Payer; and
- constructs a transaction or batch transaction compatible with supported wallets, smart accounts, and relayers so the Payer can review and sign it (or otherwise authorize it through a supported signing flow).
1ShotPay does not:
- hold, pool, or custody customer funds in omnibus accounts;
- act as a bank, money transmitter, payment institution, or escrow agent;
- guarantee that a transaction will be confirmed onchain; or
- guarantee delivery of any goods or services, or any refunds, chargebacks, or reversals between Payer and Payee.
3. Non-Custodial Nature; Private Keys; Transaction Finality
All payments initiated through 1ShotPay are onchain transactions between wallets selected by the Payer and the Payee. Those transactions occur on public blockchains that 1ShotAPI does not control.
We do not:
- take custody of Payer or Payee assets in omnibus accounts;
- control the Payer's wallet private keys or seed phrases; or
- have the ability to reverse, cancel, charge back, or modify transactions once they are signed by the Payer and submitted to the network.
Transactions are typically irreversible after confirmation. Any onchain fees (including gas and protocol fees) are the responsibility of the Payer and may be deducted from the amount transferred or paid separately as determined by the underlying network and contracts.
We will never ask for your wallet private key, seed phrase, or recovery phrase. Never share it with anyone. If anyone asks you for it, assume it is a scam. Do not paste private keys or seed phrases into support tickets, chats, or emails.
3.1 Passkeys and Wallet Creation
1ShotPay may allow you to create and access certain Wallets (including smart accounts) using Passkeys. Passkeys are a modern, passwordless way to log in and authorize actions using your device's built-in security (such as Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN) instead of typing passwords. Passkeys use cryptographic keys that are designed not to leave your device, and may be synced across your devices via your Passkey Provider (for example, a cloud keychain) for convenience.
You understand and agree that:
- your Passkey is controlled by you through your device and Passkey Provider, and 1ShotAPI does not control your Passkey Provider;
- if you lose access to your Passkey (for example, by losing your device, losing access to your cloud keychain account, or deleting your Passkey), you may lose the ability to access Wallet functionality associated with that Passkey; and
- we may store or reference certain non-sensitive identifiers (such as a public key, credential ID, wallet address, or similar metadata) to enable Wallet access and operation, but we do not receive or store your Passkey's private key.
3.2 You Are Responsible for Maintaining Access
You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your Passkey(s), devices, and any associated accounts used to sync or store Passkeys. 1ShotAPI cannot "reset" your Passkey for you and cannot guarantee recovery of access if you lose your Passkey. Any recovery options that may be available are described in the user interface (and may rely on third parties) and may not be available in all cases.
4. Digital Assets (Currently USDC; Others May Be Added)
4.1 Current Asset Support. As of the Effective Date, payments initiated through 1ShotPay are generally denominated in USDC on supported networks. We may add support for additional Digital Assets or networks in the future.
4.2 Supported Assets and Networks May Change. Supported assets, networks, and features may change over time. We may add, remove, or modify supported assets, networks, or functionality at any time, including for legal, technical, security, or liquidity reasons.
4.3 Digital Asset Risks. Digital Assets are subject to risks including:
- smart contract features and restrictions (including freezing, blocking, or other controls where supported by token contracts);
- network congestion, downtime, forks, reorgs, sequencer issues, and other disruptions;
- third-party actions by token issuers, validators, sequencers, bridges, or wallet providers;
- loss of access if you lose wallet keys, Passkeys, or credentials; and
- scams, impersonation, or misleading payment requests.
4.4 No Bank or Deposit Relationship. Digital Assets are not bank deposits, are not legal tender, and are not insured by the FDIC, SIPC, or similar protections. 1ShotAPI does not issue USDC or other Digital Assets and does not guarantee redemption, convertibility, or value.
4.5 Value and Peg Risk. Even assets described as "stablecoins" may lose value, become illiquid, or deviate from their intended peg due to market conditions, issuer actions, smart contract events, regulatory actions, or other risks.
4.6 Taxes. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of 1ShotPay results in any tax obligations and for reporting and paying any applicable taxes.
5. Creating Payment Requests and Gift Cards
If you create a Payment Request (including a Paylink or Gift Card), you are responsible for:
5.1 Accuracy of Payment Details. You are solely responsible for choosing the correct:
- destination address,
- chain / network,
- asset (currently USDC) and amount, and
- any other parameters;
and for verifying that the resulting Paylink/Gift Card reflects those choices before you share it.
5.2 Lawful Use. You may use Payment Requests and Gift Cards only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- request or solicit payments for illegal goods or services;
- use 1ShotPay to evade sanctions, AML/CTF rules, or other applicable laws; or
- misrepresent what the recipient is receiving or what the payment is for.
5.3 Relationship Between Sender and Recipient. Any exchange of goods, services, refunds, or other obligations is between the parties to the payment. 1ShotAPI is not a party to those arrangements and does not mediate disputes.
5.4 Metadata and Descriptions. You are responsible for any content you include in or alongside a Paylink or Gift Card (including memos, descriptions, or references). Do not include sensitive personal information. If such information is recorded onchain, it may be public and permanent.
6. Sending or Receiving Payments (Payers/Recipients)
6.1 Review Before You Send. Before you sign or authorize any transaction, you will carefully review:
- the destination address,
- the network/chain,
- the asset and amount, and
- any memo or metadata shown.
Once you sign and submit a transaction, it is typically irreversible, and you may not be able to recover funds if you made a mistake or were misled.
6.2 No Refunds or Chargebacks by 1ShotAPI. 1ShotAPI does not offer refunds, chargebacks, or reversals for payments initiated via 1ShotPay. Any refund or adjustment must be arranged directly between the parties as a separate onchain transaction.
6.3 No Endorsement. 1ShotAPI does not vouch for, endorse, or screen payees, senders, recipients, their identity, or any goods or services related to a payment. You are responsible for deciding whether to trust the other party.
6.4 Wallet Control. You must maintain control of your wallet, Passkeys, keys, and devices. 1ShotAPI cannot restore access to your wallet if you lose keys, Passkeys, or credentials.
6.5 Public Blockchain Disclosure. Wallet addresses, transaction hashes, timestamps, and amounts may be publicly visible on the blockchain. 1ShotAPI cannot delete or alter public blockchain records.
7. Third-Party Wallets, Relayers, and Onramps/Offramps
1ShotPay may rely on third-party tools and infrastructure outside our control, including:
- non-custodial wallets and wallet UIs;
- relayers and smart account infrastructure (including OKX-compatible flows); and
- fiat-to-crypto onramps or offramps.
Each of these is operated under its own terms and policies. 1ShotAPI is not responsible for:
- failures, downtime, bugs, or changes in third-party wallets or relayers;
- failures or delays in onramp or offramp services;
- protocol-level issues, chain forks, reorgs, or sequencer interruptions; or
- any loss resulting from vulnerabilities in smart contracts or networks used by a payment.
If a third-party service fails, is unavailable, or behaves unexpectedly, your ability to use 1ShotPay may be affected.
8. Compliance and Prohibited Uses
Use of 1ShotPay is subject to the Acceptable Use, Compliance, and Sanctions & Geographic Restrictions provisions in the Main Terms. Without limiting those:
- You must not use 1ShotPay if you are, or are acting on behalf of, a person or entity subject to applicable sanctions or located in a sanctioned jurisdiction.
- You must not use 1ShotPay to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or other illegal activity.
- You must not use VPNs, proxies, or other tools to circumvent sanctions, geofencing, or access restrictions described in the Main Terms or our policies.
We may block, disable, or refuse to honor Paylinks, Gift Cards, or payments where we reasonably believe use of 1ShotPay would violate law or our policies.
9. Fees
1ShotPay may apply:
- onchain fees (gas and protocol-level fees); and
- platform or relayer fees charged by or on behalf of 1ShotAPI.
Fee structures may be shown in the UI, in documentation, or in metadata associated with a Paylink or Gift Card. You are responsible for reviewing applicable fees before using 1ShotPay. Any fees charged by wallets, exchanges, onramps, or other third parties are separate and not controlled by 1ShotAPI.
10. Yield Features (Optional; Opt-In)
1ShotPay may offer optional features that allow eligible users to direct certain Digital Assets (for example, USDC) to onchain protocols such as Aave or similar decentralized finance ("DeFi") protocols in order to seek yield on idle balances ("Yield Features"). Yield Features are opt-in and may be subject to additional eligibility requirements, technical constraints, and disclosures presented in the user interface.
10.1 Not Financial Advice; No Guarantee of Yield
Yield Features are provided for convenience and do not constitute investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to use any protocol, asset, or strategy. Yield is not guaranteed, and any historical or displayed rates may change at any time. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to opt in and for evaluating whether Yield Features are appropriate for you.
10.2 DeFi Protocol Risks; Smart Contract and Market Risk
By using Yield Features, you acknowledge and accept that DeFi protocols involve significant risks, including:
- smart contract vulnerabilities, hacks, exploits, oracle manipulation, or governance attacks;
- protocol changes, upgrades, pauses, insolvency-like events, or deprecations;
- liquidity risk and withdrawal limitations, including delays or inability to withdraw during periods of congestion or protocol disruption;
- stablecoin and asset risks, including de-pegging, illiquidity, issuer actions, or contract restrictions; and
- network risks, including chain reorgs, sequencer downtime, congestion, and increased fees.
1ShotAPI does not control and is not responsible for the operation, security, or performance of any third-party protocol (including Aave), nor for any losses resulting from protocol-level events.
10.3 Non-Custodial; User Authorization
Yield Features are implemented through onchain transactions that you authorize. Depending on the feature design, you may be required to approve token allowances, deposits, withdrawals, or other transactions. You are responsible for reviewing all transaction details (including contract addresses, networks, and approvals) before authorizing them.
You acknowledge that certain token approvals may allow a protocol smart contract to transfer tokens from your wallet or smart account in accordance with that protocol's rules. You are responsible for managing and revoking approvals where appropriate.
10.4 Fees, Net Yield Display, and Rate Presentation
Yield Features may involve onchain fees (gas and protocol fees) and may also include a platform fee, spread, or other economic arrangement charged by or on behalf of 1ShotAPI in connection with facilitating access to third-party protocols.
Displayed "yield," APY, APR, or similar rate information in the 1ShotPay user interface may be shown on a "net" basis (i.e., after taking into account any 1ShotAPI platform fee/spread and other applicable adjustments), and may be an estimate based on then-current protocol conditions. The method of calculation, assumptions, and inputs (including protocol rates and network conditions) may change over time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- 1ShotAPI is not required to disclose the amount or percentage of any platform fee or spread as a separate line item, provided that the UI displays the applicable net yield available to you at the time; and
- you acknowledge and agree that you are opting into Yield Features based on the net yield presented to you (and that the gross protocol yield may be higher than the net yield you receive).
Yield is not guaranteed, and net yield may change at any time due to protocol conditions, market conditions, risk controls, or other factors.
10.5 No FDIC/SIPC; No Deposit Account
Digital Assets used with Yield Features are not bank deposits, are not legal tender, and are not insured by the FDIC, SIPC, or similar protections. Yield Features do not create any deposit account, brokerage account, or fiduciary relationship with 1ShotAPI.
10.6 Eligibility; Geographic and Compliance Restrictions
Yield Features may not be available in all jurisdictions or to all users and may be restricted based on sanctions, geofencing, regulatory requirements, or risk controls. We may require additional representations from you (including that you are not a restricted person and are not in a restricted jurisdiction) and may suspend, disable, or limit Yield Features at any time to comply with law or to manage risk.
10.7 Taxes and Reporting
You are solely responsible for determining whether any yield, rewards, interest-like amounts, or other returns you receive are taxable, and for reporting and paying any applicable taxes. We do not provide tax advice.
10.8 Suspension, Modification, or Discontinuation
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Yield Features at any time, including by changing supported protocols, supported assets, rates displays, or eligibility criteria. If reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes through the UI or other communications. You remain responsible for monitoring your positions and for initiating withdrawals where supported.
10.9 Additional Terms May Apply
We may present additional terms, risk disclosures, or protocol-specific conditions at the time you opt in. Those additional terms are incorporated into these Pay Terms by reference and will govern your use of the Yield Features.
11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The disclaimers and limitations of liability in the Main Terms apply fully to 1ShotPay. For clarity, and without limiting those provisions:
- 1ShotAPI is not liable for any loss of funds arising from payments made to the wrong address, on the wrong network, in the wrong amount, or due to scams, impersonation, or misrepresentations.
- 1ShotAPI is not liable for any failure or delay by any party to deliver goods or services, or to provide refunds or adjustments.
- 1ShotAPI is not liable for any issue arising from wallets, relayers, protocols, or networks that we do not control.
Your total aggregate liability to us and our total aggregate liability to you in connection with 1ShotPay remains subject to the caps and exclusions in the Main Terms.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to 1ShotPay for any account, paylink, Gift Card, sender, or recipient where:
- we reasonably believe there is a breach of these Pay Terms, the Main Terms, or applicable law;
- we detect abuse, fraud, or security issues; or
- we are required to do so by a regulator, court, or law enforcement authority.
Suspension or termination of 1ShotPay does not affect any rights or obligations that have already accrued under an onchain transaction.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Depending on how you use 1ShotPay, blockchain transaction data and wallet addresses may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Other Terms
The Main Terms are incorporated by reference into these Pay Terms. Without limiting the foregoing, your use of 1ShotPay remains subject to the Main Terms provisions relating to limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law and dispute resolution (including arbitration and class action waiver), and miscellaneous provisions (including assignment), as if those provisions were fully set out here.
If you do not agree to these Pay Terms and the Main Terms, you must not create, share, send, receive, purchase, or use Paylinks, Gift Cards, or otherwise use 1ShotPay.
